Heart Without MeasureGurdjieff Work with Madame de Salzmann by Ravi Ravindra
The 'Work' is the name given to the teachings of G.I.Gurdjieff. These teachings are based on the esoteric wisdom of the great spiritual traditions adapted by Gurdjieff for contemporary culture. The aim of the Work is the conscious evolution and transformation of human beings. This requires a harmonious development of the entire person - body, mind and soul. The practice of the Work includes Meditation; Sacred Dance; study of psychology and cosmology;impartial self-observation and working with other people.
Jeanne de Salzmann was Gurdjieff's closest associate for several decades and she became the spiritual head of the Work after his death in 1949. She carried out this responsibility with remarkable energy and creativity until she died in 1990 at the age of 101.It was her guidance that the film 'Meetings with Remarkable Men' was produced along with the director Peter Brook.
This is a book which is a collection of excerpts from the journals of Ravi Ravindra. It gives a glimpse of the extraordinary teaching of Gurdjieff as lived and taught by Madame de Salzmann.
